Coco Beach is, for the time being, the place at the north end of downtown Playa del Carmen where all the beachfront and tourist action ends; for now, the beaches beyond are fairly quiet and empty. But this is changing, the neighborhood is becoming trendier, and the main focus of development is moving quickly in this direction. For this reason, there are several real benefits to owning a Playa del Carmen condoss in the Coco Beach community, including:

Best Beach in Playa del Carmen, Walking Distance.

The beachfront in this area is wide and spacious and completely sandy, with a few palm trees for shade. Among the beautiful beaches which have made Playa del Carmen famous, this is perhaps the best.

Trendy, Up-and-Coming Area

As already mentioned, along Playa del Carmen's downtown beachfront area, this is up-and-coming community shows the most potential to become the next trendy area - and it already is. With many young couples moving in, investors are already beginning to buy Playa del Carmen condos here; there is already a restaurant/bar on the beachfront, and some activities like jet ski rentals and oriental massages. An Italian pizzeria has just opened on the corner of Fifth Avenue, the city's main tourist street.

Fifth Avenue Within Short Walking Distance.

This street runs parallel to the beach right past the small Coco Beach neighborhood, between 1 and 3 blocks from the beach - 3 blocks at Coco. Just past this begins the heart of Playa del Carmen's tourist area.

While Fifth Avenue continues to develop on one side of the community, and more activities appear on the beachfront on the other, this community will grow in appeal for tourists. Buyers who use their condo only for vacations can cover expenses and even enjoy an income through rentals.

Rising Property Value.

A condo dedicated solely to income could be quite profitable (especially larger 3 or 4 bedroom units); because of the new development moving towards this community, as well as new hotel development on the other, emptier side of the community, property value also has good potential to rise, making these an excellent investment choice.
